Makeda Limited Series Pitch

Some stories wait thousands of years to be told.

MAKEDA: Sheba’s Queen is a faith-based historical drama inspired by the Bible and the ancient Ethiopian tradition recorded in the Kebra Nagast, with creative liberties taken to expand the story for a cinematic audience.

From her unexpected rise to the throne of Sheba, Makeda’s journey unfolds through court politics, faith, power, betrayal, and the choices that will shape her legacy.

Her path ultimately leads her to King Solomon, the renowned king whose wisdom, faith, and kingdom will challenge her understanding of power, leadership, and the God he serves. Their historic encounter will leave a lasting mark on both their lives and the legacy that follows.

MAKEDA is the story of the woman behind the crown—her courage, intellect, faith, relationships, and the challenges of becoming a queen.
